UNITE provides general educational information, family conversation tools, printable resources, stories, interviews, and advocacy information about children’s digital lives. Content is intended to support informed conversations and collective action. It is not a substitute for advice tailored to an individual child or situation.

Website content is for general informational purposes and is not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Consult a qualified professional when you need advice about a specific person or circumstance.

You agree not to:

• Use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity.

• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with UNITE.

Unless otherwise noted, website text, branding, graphics, videos, and original resources belong to UNITE or are used with permission. You may print or share UNITE’s downloadable family resources for personal, classroom, school, nonprofit, or community educational use, provided you keep the UNITE attribution intact and do not sell, materially alter, or imply endorsement without written permission.

Interviews, articles, embedded media, quotations, and third-party resources may be subject to separate rights and restrictions belonging to their creators or platforms.

When you contact UNITE, you confirm that you are authorized to provide the information you submit. Do not include a child’s full name, school, account handles, private images, or other identifying details unless UNITE specifically requests them through an appropriate process.

Sending a story or message does not give UNITE permission to publish it. We will seek separate permission before publicly identifying or quoting a private submission beyond what is necessary to respond to you.

Donations are processed by Stripe. You are responsible for providing accurate payment information and confirming the amount before completing checkout. UNITE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law; consult your tax adviser about your individual circumstances.

If you believe a donation was made in error or have a transaction question, contact us promptly. Requests will be reviewed in accordance with applicable law and UNITE’s financial policies.

The website includes links, embedded media, and services operated by third parties, including Mailchimp, Resend, Stripe, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Drive, and other organizations whose resources we cite. Their terms and privacy policies govern your use of their services. UNITE does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, or practices.

We work to provide useful, current, and well-sourced information, but research, products, policies, laws, and platform features change. The website is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, UNITE does not guarantee that every item will always be complete, current, error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every family.

To the extent permitted by law, UNITE and its directors, officers, volunteers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of, or inability to use, this website. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot legally be limited.

We may update these terms as the website or our services change. The revised terms will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
