How to Start a Unite Group
and Use the Unite Toolkit
Once you fill out the form below to express interest in starting a Unite group in your community, we’ll provide you with tools and suggestions to launch your first Unite meeting. We’ll help offer a foundation, but you can make your Unite support group your own to fit the needs for your community.
Here’s what you’ll get in the Free Starter Kit:
- PowerPoint Presentation with an overview of the problem and how you can work together toward a solution to keep children safe on social media. We walk you through what’s healthy and offer tips on how to face challenges in our shared mission to improve children’s relationship to social media. The presentation explains youth physical and mental developmental milestones, mental health markers for tweens and teens, research findings and the role and potential harms of social media as well as healthy approaches for your group to consider.
- Facilitator’s Guide with detailed guidance on how to start and move through a productive discussion with the members attending your group meeting. We’ll also offer suggested topics to discuss with your group.
- Social Media Posts will also be provided along with graphics to help you promote your Unite meetings.
