Try one or all these approaches:
– Start small— a simple walk around the neighborhood will do.
– Let your love of nature show. Children model what their parents do. Show your enjoyment of being outside and watch how your child responds!
– Don’t use your phone outside. Be with your children outdoors not away from them on your smart phone.
– Invite other children to play together, to use their creativity and respond to one another’s play, ideas, activities.
